Have you tried a steroid/pain killer injection into the joint, I had a shoulder injury, torn tendons and bursar plus joint chaffing, but the injection worked for me.

Still have it, but not meaningfully used since 2011 as my work routine changed- it’s been a great bike. The initial use case was 12 miles round trip with train filling in the middle. Folding worked well and I tended to use it as a seat in the carriage entrance way as the train leg was one stop and 12 mins.
Gearing was fine for my legs, though I did sometimes ride
It all the way home in summer the and it was a lovely ride and didn’t feel compromised for a casual ride.
It’s going to be recommissioned this winter for casual use, and my intent is to do the coast 2 coast and bikepack.
